Pansacola Beach Resort, Cagbalete Island | Full Review Experience

Updated: Dec 15, 2019

Less than 2 weeks from now, I will go back to this Island for the fourth time. The Island is located in Mauban, Quezon Philippines. I've been in Cagbalete Island thrice and I'm planning to create an updated travel guide for this year 2019 soon. For now, I decided to make hotels/resorts review to share to you my experience and hoping this can help you decide where resort to stay in Cagbalete Island.

Pansacola Beach Resort is just one of the beach resorts in Cagbalete Island. There are few more which I will also write about and will include in my travel guide.

Before I begin, I listed down three things I'm looking for a beach resort to make this more informative. I will give an honest review as you continue reading.

1. Resort Services ( Rooms, Staff and other amenities)

2. Food (Restaurant)

3. Beach Area

This review is limited to my own experience in my 2 nights stay there. Let's start!

Pansacola Beach Resort, Cagbalete Island | Full Review Experience

1. Resort Services ( Rooms, Staff and other amenities)

They offer a wide variety of rooms whether you will go solo, pair or by group. Tents are also available for backpackers.

Rooms price ranges to approximately 1500-2000 php for 2 persons per night for non-airconditioned, 2500-3000 php for airconditioned and 300 php only for each tent rental. Prices may vary depending on season.

We decided to just go with Tent rental since this is not the first time we have been here and they offer a common rest room available to use for shower and anything you need to do there. I don't recommend tents for Cagbalete Island virgins.

I would say the Staff is absolutely friendly. I remember having my tent changed for my second day of stay because it was deformed and they responded quickly.

Other amenities such as a volleyball net for those who are into sports or just want to have fun doing beach volleyball. I've seen kayaks though I'm not updated with the rental fee per hour but I guess it's 150 php.

2. Food (Restaurant)

Are you a type of person who worries about food? I think we all are! The resort has a restaurant where you can avail food packages which includes your whole day meal or you can also order ala carte meals. I want to give you heads up that food prices is too way far from the original suggested retail price which I totally understand why. Example; canned goods like corned beef, ham to be cooked by the kitchen staff is likely tripled price. For me, it's not okay to spend much on food that I just stated but if it leaves you with no option then be it. One tip I can provide is to bring your own food (raw or cook) You can rent cook pots and other kitchen utensils in their restaurant which I prefer if an opportunity to shop in Mauban Market before heading to the Island.

3. Beach Area

As you know, there are few beach resorts in the Island and not all beach area fine so I'm adding this as one of the things I need to include when reviewing beach resorts.

This resort in particular have a fine white sand with few pebbles and shells in the shore.

High and Low tide may vary per season. During our stay we had to walk far from the shore when it's low tide. I've seen couple of seaweeds in their beach area but as you go and swim farther it seems pretty nice.

Overall, I would recommend this resort to friends and will definitely stay again.
