2. Batu Caves

3. Chinatown

KLIA2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2)

It was 8pm when we arrived. Upon arrival we went straight to ground floor where bus stations are. Rode Star Bus from the Airport to Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur

Fare: 11 MYR

Travel time: 1 hour

Hostel: The Explorers Guesthouse

We settle and drop our bags in our hostel located in the city centre right away so we can still catch the Petronas Twin tower with the lights on.

3 places I visited in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

1. Petronas Twin Tower

Also known as the Petronas Twin Towers, are twin skyscrapers. Located in Suria KLCC --a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Business hours: Opens at 9am and closes at 9pm Monday-Sunday

Luckily we were able witnessed the amazing Petronas Twin Tower with lights on. It feels surreal seeing it with my own eyes and not only just seeing it through social media platforms.

2. Batu Caves

A limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu, which flows past the hill. It is the tenth limestone hill from Ampang. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village (source: wikipedia)

Opens daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Mondays to Fridays: 10:00am to 5:00pm. Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays: 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Taxi Fare: 25-30 MYR from city centre

Since this is a place of worship, Although dress code is not enforced, you may want to show some respect by wearing clothes that covers your legs and shoulders.

It's a 272 steps to climb and since we have very limited time we decided not to go to the top. We stayed for only an hour including lunch in the area.

3. Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur

At the heart of Kuala Lumpur is an area which never sleeps, and far more colourful and bustling than its bigger and more glamourous neighbours, KLCC & Bukit Bintang. Chinatown, based in Petaling Street, is also known as 'Chee Cheong Kai' (Starch Factory Street), a reference to its roots as a tapioca-producing district. Deeply immersed in Oriental culture, heritage and history, Chinatown is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist spots in Malaysia.
