I was not able to get inside due to closure but that will not stop you from taking photos outside because why not? It’s beautiful.

The Opera House

now called Municipal theatre of HCM. You may want to check schedules a head of time or you can buy tickets at klook.com

4. Bui Vien Walking Street

If you are looking for a place where you can bond with friends for couple of beers and rich street foods, Bui Vien walking street is located in District 1, Pham Ngu Lao.

You will find locals and tourists having fun in the streets as early as 1pm.

9. Ho Chi Minh Book Street

Few steps away from Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica you will find this very cool street where you can buy good books and some postcards.

10. Mekong Delta

Located in Southern Vietnam. It is approximately 200 km away from the city centre.

Some hotel offers tours to Mekong delta for a reasonable price. We booked at kimtravel.com. This is by far the most distant place we went to.

We had a day tour which includes lunch, river tour and pagodas around mekong- they will pick you at your hotel in the morning via mini bus shuttle and you will drop you off at your hotel around 5pm.

I would recommend this for first time goers. Prices may vary.

I hope this will help you when you're planning to visit Saigon. Safe travels to you! Looking forward to your comments and suggestion on how I can improve my writing.
